Sharon Ott established SKO Insurances Services in 1992. SKO brokers life, major medical, disability income, and long term care insurance. Her philosophy is “you should never pay more than you have to for the insurance protection you need.” To that end, she works with many insurance companies to negotiate the best rate and policy to fit her client’s needs.

At age 35, she put her career on hold to start her college degree earning a BA in Political Science from UCLA specializing in Public Law.
Sharon is co-author of “Where Is It When You Really Need It?”. Published in 1995, the book is a tool for gathering personal information before a crisis occurs. Because of her experience in dealing with clients after suffering a loss, she was interviewed on television and radio to discuss how the book can help alleviate some of the stress associated with loss. “We are often required to be responsible business people when we’re least able – in an emergency.”
